My Voice Experience

Since I was a little kid, I have always loved to do voices and mimic the sounds and voices of others. I love cartoons and the characters that inhabit them. I love to listen to accents and try to reproduce them. Sometimes it is even hard to stop! I love reproducing characters and I love entertaining people and making them laugh. I've been auditioning and finishing commercial and promo spots for 7 years. I've taken classes and workshops and regularly listen to voice over podcasts. I've worked with many marketing agencies, traveled to studios (including CBS) and have met many awesome people while honing my craft. Working in Voice Over and acting with my voice is a fun and rewarding experience.

My Training

I was a thespian in High School and also performed in High School Comedy Sports focusing on announcer and voice effects. I have worked in post production for many years and have a lot of exposure to the voice over process. In fact it was a voice over actor and co-worker of mine who pointed me in the direction of Kalmenson & Kalmenson voice acting classes. I have taken Foundations 1 and 2 at Kalmenson as well as their Animation class and Demo Prep class. I also have a BFA in Entertainment Arts and Animation at Cal State Fullerton.

My Studio Equipment

I work at a marketing agency in the IT department and have access to a professional recording booth. I have a good relationship with the audio editors who work on the systems. I have basic working knowledge of ProTools, Soundtrack Pro and Audacity. The booth includes a shotgun mic and a pop filter as well as adequate sound proofing and a music/script stand. I also have a home studio with sound proofing, yeti blue mic, pop filter, stand, etc.

Additional Skills

I am really nice and easy going and easy to work with. I work hard and can be a perfectionist at times. I have worked on a lot of creative projects including but not limited to, interactive CD-ROM, website design, graphic design, motion graphics, 3D design and animation, stop motion animation. I have co-written, co-produced, co-directed, edited and starred in my own public access tv shows, "You So Funny" and "The Bizarre Minds of Jeff and Andy". I have taken piano and guitar classes and am constantly working on my electronic album (made with an iPad). I am an avid gamer and enjoy PC Gaming and a multitude of gaming consoles. I dabble in game design and level design. I listen to podcasts on a daily basis including topics of game design, learning languages, voice over, etc.
