My Voice Experience

Since I was a little kid, I have always loved to do voices and mimic the sounds and voices of others. I love cartoons and the characters that inhabit them. I love to listen to accents and try to reproduce them. Sometimes it is even hard to stop! I love reproducing characters and I love entertaining people and making them laugh. I've done a few smaller venue vo bits for non profit or in house projects and about a year ago I got my first radio spot for CalHospital(organization website). I've been auditioning more and more and gaining experience in the process.

My Training

I was a thespian in High School and also performed in High School Comedy Sports focusing on announcer and voice effects. I have worked in post production for many years and have a lot of exposure to the voice over process. In fact it was a voice over actor and co-worker of mine who pointed me in the direction of Kalmenson & Kalmenson voice acting classes. I have taken Foundations 1 and 2 at Kalmenson as well as their Animation class. I also have a BFA in Entertainment Arts and Animation at Cal State Fullerton.

My Studio Equipment

I work at a marketing agency in the IT department and have access to a professional recording booth. I have a good relationship with the audio editors who work on ProTools HD systems. I have basic working knowledge of ProTools LE 7 software and Mbox hardware in the voice over booth where I am able to record. The booth includes a shotgun mic and a pop filter as well as adequate sound proofing and a music/script stand.

Additional Skills

I am really nice and easy going. I work hard and can be a perfectionist at times. I have worked on a lot of creative projects including but not limited to, interactive CD-ROM, website design, graphic design, motion graphics, 3D design and animation, stop motion animation. I have taken public access television classes and have co-written, co-produced, co-directed, edited and starred in my own public access tv shows, "You So Funny" and "The Bizarre Minds of Jeff and Andy". I have taken piano and guitar classes. I am an avid gamer and enjoy PC Gaming and a multitude of gaming consoles. I have designed and programmed basic games. I create my own maps for Unreal Tournament 2004 and Half Life 2. I listen to podcasts on a daily basis including topics of video games, learning French, how stuff works, etc.
