Voice Description
For commercials I can voice a wide array of pitches and energy levels, from soft, smooth and sexy, to brutal, heavy hard sell.
For narrations/audiobooks, I can do a few different accents to fit characters. Slight variations in pitch and energy goes a long way to differentiate one character from another in audiobooks.
For documentaries/general presentations, I can vary from strictly professional to upbeat and fun.

My Voice Experience
I spent 1987 through 2006 in the radio business as a DJ. During that time I produced thousands of commercials, PSAs, promos and voiceovers for television commercials.
My Training
I began DJing in the 7th grade. Since then, I've always been behind a microphone. In 1985 I attended The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe Ohio which was a smart move. I have utilized the recording engineering talents which I learned there all my life. After graduating high school in 1986 I went to Fort Lauderdale to attend Bauder College. I received my diploma for Radio & Television Broadcasting and was the first in my class to land a radio job.
My Studio Equipment
I've built my home studio piece by piece with the eventual goal of utilizing it for voiceover production. I began the process in 2004 with a Roland Digital Audio Workstation. I've always been a fan of Audio Technica microphones so I also bought an AT-4040. Me and this mic get along real well. I have other AT mics and Shure SM-57s for instrument recording. Since then I've added DBX compressor/limiters, Digital Studio effects racks and Studio Projects tube pre-amps. An old, but excellent Parasound EQ is used for the listening studio. My studio speakers are DCM TF350s with a KLH sub. I also audio test my production on 3 or 4 different sources to be sure the end product sounds great on any sized speaker or system.
