My Voice Experience
Back in '02 I took for granted that voiceover work even existed or that I could even dive into this world. So, luckily, I guess I can say that I just fell into voiceovers.
I had been working with my legit agent for a while when out of the blue I received a call from their voice department. "Pop in for a voice casting this afternoon", she said. Ok. I found myself standing in a booth with a big microphone in front of me and absolutely no idea what to do. So I just dove right in. Now I'd love to say that I booked that first job...unfortunately it took a few weeks, but I was hooked. I followed up with a few local radio spots and then finally landed a series regular role on the animated Series 'Jacob Two-Two' as Jacob's older brother Daniel. While working on this series I auditioned for and landed the role of Zuru/The Mystery Medafighter on ABC Family's 'Medabots'. While the on-mic experience was invaluable, I still hadn't had any formal training and decided that a conservatory program would be my best option. I auditioned for and got into The Circle in The Square Professional Workshop. The experience was life-altering and the training top notch. Further, my vocal quality was brought to new heights. From there I continued my studies at Edge Studios in NY where I continue to take lessons, seminars and workshops to this day.
