Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Virtually limitless. All Nations, countries and ethnic dialects. Northern European, Skandinavian, Russian, Jewish, proper Spanish and 'slang' American-Mexican, Australian. These can be done 'straight' as well as comedy. Also a wide variety of celebrities IE Presidents, movie personalities, television stars, talk show hosts. These mostly with a comic edge. Good, easy, improvisation in or out of 'character'. Also excellent, original voice creation for animation characters.

My Voice Experience

My experience actually started with my early career as a professional musician in Chicago a 'few' years ago. We were recording in a new studio and the engineer had booked some commercials as well. We made a trade and helped him with these recordings, for studio time on our music demo. This was 'state of the art' new 24 track reel to reel equipment. (I DID say a few years ago!) That was the beginging. Over time I have done additional voice over/singing mostly as it came along, never really persuing it as a career.

On Retiring from Police work last December, I have returned to entertainment, my 'first-best destiny' I wish this to include voice over, which I have always enjoyed, in particular characterizations.

My Training

My training in 'voice' and voice over has been through experience. This includes music recording-engineering, overdubbing and some incidental commercial work years ago. Recently it has been through looping for film work. Also spent the last twenty years speaking on a police radio, which required clear,calm audible transmissions in all types of circumstances. Have a very nice home studio, originally for music recording, that now works wonderfully for voice over as well.

Boss BR-1600 cdr/rw, digital recorder w/midi,HDaccess,16 real track (limitless virtual tracks)with effects and looping.Roland DM-20 24 bit digital speakers(powered).Peavy monitors, Yamaha and Suzuki keyboards with sound effects,Vox and Peavey amps. Peavey XM6 mixer/amp. Peavey Digital effects processor. More than a dozen mics predominately Sure SM57's and 58's. Also have drums, piano, electric piano and NUMEROUS guitars for jingles, music etc. THIS IS OUR PERSONAL EQUIPMENT IN OUR HOME STUDIO (My spouse Shelli Fox is also a listed talent. Voice over and vocals.) I have been recording,engineering,producing since the 1980's

Additional Skills

As mentioned, I have been a professional musician, recording engineering and producer since 1980. Have done singing and some voice over throughout the years. Have continued performance (theatre, movies, tv etc) and run sound and effects for commmunity theatre.

Since retiring from the Police Dept (constant use of voice both over the radio and in controlling/soothing situations) Have been a professional actor, now adding voice over. Have the ability, equipment and maturity to be self-motivated, hard worker, able to complete jobs and make deadlines. Also have new reliable transportation to go to studios to record as needed.
