My Voice Experience

Having had a 20 year career as a voice actor, I have done long-form and short, commercial and narration as well as character pieces, technical presentations and phone answering systems. I have worked for national corporations, (Abbott Laboratories, United Airlines, Allstate Insurance, Johnson & Johnson, etc.) and charitable organizations,(The Salvation Army, The National Safety Council, The United Way) political candidates (both major parties) and trade associations,(Three Rivers' Manufacturers' Assn.) local businesses, (Showboat Casino, Childrens' Memorial Hospital,) and international sales promotions (Grumman Aircraft, McDonald's Corp). I have voiced radio and television commercials, movie theatre introductions and projects on the History Channel, as well as instructional videos and online presentations. I can also be heard on those easy-to-hate on hold messages and the occasional talking gas pump.

My Training

I have a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and have worked as a stage actor for over 25 years. I was trained in voice over technique by Dorothy Jordan (the voice of Morris the Cat's mother) as well as by the principals of Audio Chicago. I continually take classes and attend seminars to improve my technique as well as maintaining an acting presence on stage.

Additional Skills

While being a voice over talent is my main occupation, I am also a theatrical director and stage actor, as well as an on-camera actor proficient in ear-prompter. I have home recording capabilities and quick turn-around time. I also am blessed with a very supportive husband and a lovely family.
