Voice Description
My default voice has a deep but friendly regular guy quality without being overbearingly strong. More natural than an over-the-top announcer, although I can certainly play that role, too. Having a natural guy sound allows me to easily go into higher, upbeat roles, lower scruffy roles, the hard sell guy, or younger male roles. I also enjoy portraying character voices with unique qualities and attitudes.
Thank you for considering me for your voice project.

My Voice Experience
I first began doing voiceover work when I was a development engineer on one of the first IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems (with GTE) in the late 1980's, and I was often called upon to be "the voice" for customer applications. Applications included phone greetings, internal corporate systems and data collection and information dissemination, etc. However, my experience ranges from voiceovers to acting on stage, film, TV, industrial training and narration videos. Fortunately, acting numerous character roles that I have played in my acting career has enhanced my ability to act with my voice ... not just reading the script, but making it a memorable character.
My Training
I have been "training" since I was a kid, since I have been acting since then. But I have also taken various acting and voiceover classes, such as classes on general acting, acting for TV and radio commercials, acting for film, corporate presentation skills, and of course, voiceover training.

Additional Skills
My home recording studio uses high-quality equipment, such as:
- An AKG phantom-powered condenser cardioid microphone (as opposed to low-cost, low-quality, non-powered dynamic mics) for capturing the range of resonating voice frequencies and nuances that give your project that true professional sound.
- An M-Audio pre-amp system that utilizes a digital USB interface for recording to the PC (as opposed to connecting a mic directly into a PC sound card, which uses unbiased electrical currents and introduces hum and buzz).
- High-quality Mogami pure XLR-XLR cables (which maintains impedance balancing end-to-end to reduce hum and buzz).
Please note that Voice123 reduces the voiceover demo file size (and therefore the quality of what you hear). It does not represent the quality of sound recording that I can provide to you via MP3 or WAV files and emailed to you.
