My Voice Experience

I have a degree in Broadcasting and as such my experience stems from my education at the collegiate level. I have worked in radio and done numerous voice overs using Adobe Audition and Cool Edit Pro both for school projects as well as job requirements during an internship I had with WKCT-AM in Bowling Green, KY.

I have worked with different microphones, different editing systems, soundboards, tapes, CD's, copywriting and live radio. I was a DJ with WWHR-FM in Bowling Green, KY, when I was in college and I went on to become a part time announcer at WKCT. I have done voiceovers for television studio WKYU in Bowling Green, KY, as well and have worked in a Radio Production class perfecting my skills in communication via voice overs using Adobe Audition.

My Training

Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting from Western Kentucky University (May 2008); Intern at WKCT-AM in Bowling Green, KY, (June-August 2007); DJ at WWHR-FM in Bowling Green KY, January-April 2007).

Proficient in audio and video editing Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere. Have studied Radio Production and Radio Engineering at the advanced level at University. I have also studied Television Production (including voice overs within that industry) and been read numerous news segments over the air (both live and pre-recorded) at WKCT-AM. I have had my voice critiqued by some of the best professors in the industry.

Since September of 2006 I have worked consistently in the media both studying the process and effects thereof, as well as hands-on work within the industry.

My Studio Equipment

I have worked with both condenser and dynamic microphones and recorded my voice countless times with different transducers and diaphragms. Within these categories I have worked with omni-directional, bi-directional, uni-directional and cardioid's as well.

I have recently worked with an dynamic cardioid mic that I recorded narration with and I currently have access to it and the necessary accompanying equipment.

Additional Skills

I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 443 in Santa Clara, CA, as of 2003.

I won the "Outstanding Technician" Award from my high school, The King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA) in May of 2002 and again in May of 2003.

I have worked in Television doing DEKO operations, audio board operations, tape operations and camera operations.

I have a vast knowledge of broadcasting and the media industry, particularly in sales and radio.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting from Western Kentucky University which has won many Peabody Awards and Hearst Awards for excellence in journalism.

I am 23 years old and have the positive attitude toward this occupation that should be expected.
