Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I am at my best when voicing a character with lots of expression where I can use my voice in varying emotional states, however, I have trouble visualizing specific accents, as my voice belongs to characters as opposed to regions.

My Voice Experience

Although I have no professional experience in voice acting, I began to exercise my voice for singing when I was a young teen. My parents were always supportive of my singing, and although my only real outlet was through various church functions and events, my mother was a singer as well and coached me for a long while on how to improve. When I joined the Air Force, I met some friends that invited me to a roleplaying group, and once there I learned how easy it was for me to adopt a persona, with a different voice and even method of speaking, and sustain it for as long as we played, which could extend several hours up to half a day, time permitting. Though I only use this now to enhance the immersion while I play, to be able to express a character's voice through my own is a great joy and pleasure to me, and to be honest, the possibility, however great or small, of being able to share that with others is what prompted me to present my availability on this online voice acting service.
