Voice can be upbeat and encouraging, and it also can be featured as a low sounding sexy voice, and provocative. I have the type of voice that has been consistently complimented over the years, including radio work, as well as on the phone. I speak clearly and with infliction when needed. I also have the midwestern accent, as I grew up in northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin area.

My Voice Experience

Radio...by chance! I was working at a Sam Goody store as an assistant manager when the program director for the local radio station came in. He and I talked, and he said "Have you ever considered radio??" I said "yeah, sometimes!" and he said "I want to hire you!" He basically hired me on the spot. I have been involved with radio since 1996, starting in smaller markets in the Madison, Wisconsin area, and now work part time for a country station here in Tampa, Florida. Went from market 97 to market 21 basically overnight.

My Training

Started in Janesville, Wisconsin at a country station, WJVL, and then went on to a classic rock station in Madison, Wisconsin, WIBA FM. My specialty was all request Saturday nights, and my show was number one in the market. Have since moved to Florida to escape the cold, and was hired on here in Tampa, Florida at WQYK radio, a country station, in January of 2005.
