Voice Description

I can be extremely professional in my delivery. My training is in "NPR News Style" delivery, but I can work up enthusiasm for projects as diverse as festivals, trade shows, commercials, truck and tractor pulls and art events. Accents include: Australian, Received British pronounciation, Cockney, stereotypical nagging Mom ("You never write, you never call..."), Southern accents of all sorts. "Texan" accent is a speciality. Have Spanish language counterpart who can do translations and voiceovers (Cuban accent).

My Voice Experience

My job is talking! From phone answering systems to commercials to radio talk show hosting, I've done it all.
Radio news announcer since 1992. Voice talent since 1993. I'm the voice of Lamar University. Can voice and record/edit audio content on my own, either at home or in studio.
Long-form video is my speciality, with hard-to-pronounce terms and phrases as my forte. Host of a one-hour radio music show on Saturday nights. Duties include music selection, voice and editing.

My Training

Degree in Mass Communications, 1992. Radio work ever since then. Six years in public relations and journalism. Extensive experience in on-air ad-libbing and persuasive speaking. Employment in public relations since 2000. Voice of Lamar University, Beaumont TX. Still called upon to fundraise for NPR station due to voice skills. Trained to record voiceovers at exactly 29:30 sec regardless of the amount of copy.
