My Voice Experience

Janet Peters recently lent her voice talents for Family Office Exchange where she played 2 roles in one 30 second spot, and just finished the voice of a senior female for The Geneva Foundation for Presbyterian Homes in August 2011.
Janet Peters is a reliable voice talent and works hard to deliver the voice you need. Whether you need a mature woman or a female voice for cartoons, Janet delivers the pitch.
Distinctive doesn't even get close to the sound quality Janet Peters delivers. While Living and loving improvisation Janet was told by too many people in the business that she has a great voice, so She went for it at full force! Janet's sounds resemble the tones of Roz from Frasir, to Joan Rivers, the laugh of (if needed) Phillis Diller, an elderly Kathryn Hepurn, and many many more, which naturally and most important, includes her own unique quality! Janet offers a multitude of ranges and delivers what is directed to her.
Talent runs deep in Janet's Family, as she is the sister-in-law of Joe Mantegna ( The Star of Criminal Minds)and the mother of Alexis Peters, an actress and humanitarian.
Janet Peters just finished an independent film called Salamander where she played a woman who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Her narration for that piece was noted, outstanding. She also spent 4 weeks in Hollywood California feeling out the Hollywood Scene.
While there, Janet had the good fortune of meeting up with Jimmy Rooney Mickey Rooney's son, the voice of Mickey Mouse, and looks forward to working with him. A Believe it or not: Janet's Grandfather was partners with Walt Disney in Chicago where they had a cartoon studio and a booth at Chicago's first World fair. It's no wonder Janet has a magnificent imagination, and that she does!
Janet has lent her distinctive voice to commercials for WXFM Radio,and some of her other credits include The Jazz Record Mart, Family Office Exchange, Deal Lease Cadillac,Polk Brothers Sound Alarms, and educational films for Columbia College.
Janet worked with "Love Safe" an improvisation ensemble in Chicago, from Jilly Star Productions last summer as well. She was also in a comedy short called “Audition”, that was well received by over 25,000 viewers at Grant Park in the Chicago Comedy Film Festival last summer, written and directed by Tom Herman. Some of Janet’s other credits include creating, directing and starring in, "The Messengers Improvisation Ensemble", "The Expresso Presents" Improvisation Ensemble and was a special guest star of "Just Say Ho ho ho" , The Studio Show, with Megon McDonough, where she interacted with the audience to give them a real feel for Improvisation.
She has studied voice with Jeff Lupetin, ( a highly successful known voice talent in Chicago) Megon McDonough,( a Chicago singer & composer ) just to name a few and participated in technique workshops at the Actor’s Center in Chicago.
Janet has studied at all levels of Improvisation with the former Del Close at the legendary Second City. Janet took some time in the Summer of 2006 in Door County, Wisconsin at The Paul Sills Theater Workshops, where she studied under the direction of former Hamilton Camp. Janet has taught improvisation workshops in Chicago at the Creative Institute, and has directed a number of improvisation ensembles. Janet's learned advice pays off! You can make it if you try, but you must try, try and try... You'll succeed at last!
Janet lives by the Motto, " When the going gets tough, the tough get going" Janet Peters is always ready to help you get the voice you need. She takes Pay Pal and has a sound studio in her home.
