Voice Description

My voice is warm, baritone naturally, with 3 octave range, tiny & sweet, to monster and growl. People ALWAYS say they love my voice find it soothing or commanding, goofy or professional. My voice can express excitement, class, calm, trust, dependability, I have been reviewed by the TORONTO STAR as a " clever mimic...note perfect...spunky....great bravado" for live performance, one paper called me "an electrifying thrill!". I enjoy my voice and trying to immitate singers, speakers, famous people...or inventing my own characters.

My Voice Experience

I am a musician and writer. I performed my own one-woman (2-hour) live THEATRE PRODUCTION - over 250 times. The production was then adapted to TV FOR THE BRAVO NETWORK, a one hour version, running for over 3 YEARS...''BURIED ALIVE IN THE BLUES". Interviewed live on RADIO and TV across Canada, RPM Magazine. I have 10 spots in the past, Cherokee Jeep, Airlines, Spa/Hair Design, Sudbury (Northern Ontario) Olympics advertising campaign

My Training

I have always been a singer, singers in the family...barbershop...harmony. As an adult I made a living performing alone at first, then with a number of style bands, rock to dinner-dance...immitating from Bob Dylan to Joni Mitchell. I worked at EASTERN SOUND RECORDING STUDIO, everyone encouraged me to do 'VOICE OVERS'. I answered a newspaper ad, was selected to do the Cherokee Jeep ad...loved the work. I wrote, produced and PERFORMED a one woman show, next, that ran for 10 years in theatres and was picked up by BRAVO NETWORK TELEVISION and ran for over 3 years.

I am an energetic person, I know how important 'a project' has to be to those working with you...I like to have fun...and I like people to enjoy any inter-action with me, at the same time remaining PROFESSIONAL. I have been on many radio interviews, put on the spot...to invent answers to hypothetical questions...and still remained in control of my voice...and still sounded sincere, interesting, informed, respectful & knowledgeable. I have made a living from my voice, in one way or another....singing....acting...voice-overs...band leader...it's about reaching out to all those people....out there in the dark. Thanks for reading!
