Voice Description

My voice is cultured British but it is not an overpowering RP accent. I sound natural and clear and my voice has warmth. I read expressively and fluently and need little preparation with a narrative script. I am able to sound calm and controlled, yet friendly, for instructions such as those heard on computer games. I am able to speak French reasonably fluently and am able to read it with ease. I am able to adapt my voice depending on the type of recording required.

Owing to the fact I have worked on Merseyside for ten years I could probably impersonate a 'Scouse' accent reasonably well.

My Voice Experience

Having taught for a number of years, I would love to be given the opportunity to use my voice for something other than speaking to GCSE and A level students. I know that this is a difficult area to find work - there are so many famous voices out there. However, I think that someone, somewhere would find my voice just the one they want to hear!

My Training

I originally trained to teach French which I taught for a few years. I now have an English degree and have taught English for ten years. I have attended a voice-over masterclass with Gary Terzza in London. I believe I have a flair for this type of work and look forward to joining the world of the unseen performer!
