Voice Description

I have what is known as a vanilla voice, which means it is very easy to listen to for long periods of time. My voice is also a very versatile voice actor voice. I can be warm, deep and empathetic for narrations; upbeat, sexy and fun for commercials; or smooth and professional with a friendly sense of authority and confidence for presentations. I have a great laugh and I laugh easily. It has been said that when I read food copy...it makes your mouth water! I am able to do a wide variety of characters. I currently live in Washington State near Seattle but, was born and reared in Des Moines, Iowa which means my natural dialect is the Standard American Dialect for voices across the US.

My Voice Experience

Acting is my strength. I've done a wide variety of characters ranging from comedic farce to dramatic tragedy. From on camera commercial to live theatre.

Most recently:

Pearson. I am currently narrating a series of elearning modules...teaching a software program to educators.

MindEdge. I narrated an online humanities class.

Several projects with syndicate Pictures, most recently a coporate video for Saint Thomas Aquinas College.

I narrated a DVD for The National Organization for Marriage.

Burns Marketing. I narrated a Webcollage for Kodak

I narrated a DVD for the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health system. I told their story of trekking from Tennessee to Kansas setting up hospitals for those in need. They liked the combination of warmth and professionalism in my voice.

I voiced a web ad for Belle Notte Italian Restaurant in the Chicago area. They loved my slight Italian accent.

Apeture Films. I voiced a character, a Sassy Klondike Woman, for a film about the Gold Rush for the National Park Service. They appreciated my Sassy character read.

Recently I spent 5 years with "Just Say Yes" an improvisational theatre company in Seattle.

And spent 8 years touring and playing Sarah. And also: the voice of God, Isaac, Hagar and the Angel of the Lord, in a readers theatre project "The Wanderings of Abraham and Sarah".
