Voice Description

Very deeep and convincing. Whatever I am called to do, will be believed. I can be stern, sweet, loveable. I can become "that scary guy" or the syrypy voice for the ice cream bar. Barry White blended up with Frank Zappa and a sprinkle of Leon Russell anyone? My voice can get completely wacky for cartoons and stay completely reserved, when that is called upon. Although I do not speak any languages other than English, I most certainly know my way around Southern accents, some Carribean, Mexican, British, and age accents from four to one hundred and four. I have an amazing telephone/radio voice as well. I have this great talking computer character I borrowed from "Joshua", the computer from the movie Wargames.

My Voice Experience

My most recent work can be found in the Woodstock, NY area consisting of numerous commercials for the local radio stations. The more lucrative things I have been a part of are the onhold messaging services that are popping up everywhere. I've been called on for SAAB, OUT magazine, I've worked with the Ellenbogen Group (multimedia). I am also a spoken word artist and rapper and have performed on many a stage from Woodtock, NY to Washington, DC and back! I began in Children's Theater and haven't stopped yet, now a voice talent! When I answer the phone, no kidding, nine times out of ten, I get this pregnant pause............ then I say hello again and the person freaks out saying they couldn't believe it wasn't a machine. Even my own Mother!!!

My Training

After years of hearing, "man your voice, man your voice", I began to wonder if there might not be some outlet for monetary gain, straight up! I have some friends who live in Manhattan and work at JSM, a production house that specializes in radio and tv commercials. My friend offered to help me put my first demo together. A few years ago I decided to get extremely serious and hired a voice coach in New York City. I then took that knowledge to upstate NY where I took a few classes in voice over at Ulster County Community College. I continued my progress forward and decided to go for broke and sign on with CVDG, Creative Voice Development Group, who helped me put together my current voice over demonstration.

Additional Skills

All I need is the script and one hundred seconds to become the part and to become convincing, period. If my tone is egotistical, I don't mean it to be. I am extremely sure of my capabilities in voice acting, and I have three kids to feed, of course that has been quite the skill I've mastered as well. I was on the Grateful Dead tour for 7ven years, for what it's worth. Thanks for the listen.
