My Voice Experience

Jamie Congedo has been doing voice-over professionally since 2004, but her acting career really began in 1994. In 1996, she was approached by the producers of a project she was working on to do some paid voice-over work. She initially said, “Sure, what’s that?” Although it paid well, she was young and didn’t think much about it at the time.

Years later, while living in California, a marketing executive friend who worked for a local radio station invited her into the studio, where she read a few scripts for him. She nailed them in the first few takes, and was instantly hooked. Jamie went on to do many radio spots, including Public Service Announcements and television commercials. She received most of her work because clients would hear her on the radio and call the station asking to know who she was and how they could get her to do their spots. She was also a guest DJ on KHUM with Maureen Burke during Women’s Weekend.

Jamie studied acting for four years, and has completed Ed Ragozzino's Voice-Over workshop. She recently completed Don Ross and Jo-Jo Jensen's Beginning and Intermediate Voice-Over Workshops.
