My Voice Experience

I have done numerous voiceovers over the years. Most recently I was announcer for a local Santa Barbara dentist "Dr. M", announcer for a local Santa Barbara constuction company Corletto Construction, and most recently an ex-smoker/jogger AND the announcer for the same quit smoking spot.

I also had my own weekly radio show back in the early 90's on UCSB's KCSB FM, called "Gothic 101"...college radio late-night slot.

Additional Skills

When I'm in the booth recording voiceovers, my character acting training really helps me to dive into the role of the voice needed, allowing for an easier and more effective & convincing delivery.

I'm a trained actor with over 35 stage credits, many student films, 3 TV series', 2 MP Films, and was lead singer of a now-disbanded local Santa Barbara gothic band "Masquerade" for 2 years.

I'm also quite the infamous jokester on a couple of radio stations here in town, KTYD and KRUZ...whenever I call up with a joke or funny comment on current events, I'd say about 4 out of 5 times they air it immediately. I'm known as "Mesa Jim" or "JimWit" in most cases.
