Voice Description

Forty year career as audio engineer and voice talent. Can do straight reads, fun reads, special character work, cartoon voices and foreign accents. Voice is deep, but not your Father's traditional "booming basso" radio announcer delivery. The key is to sound familiar with the material without sounding like you are reading cold words on a script page. Much depends on the script provided by client. Some writers can write well for the printed page, but cannot capture the natural flow of someone speaking aloud. My job is to sound good enough to make you look good enough. Think warm, think natural, think friendly, without being condescending.

My Voice Experience

Have produced radio spot voice-overs, TV audio beds, on-hold message tapes, instuctional programs and books on tape. Done everything from straight narration reads to the voice of a talking duck. One character portrayal has been the trademark voice for a Nebraska company for over 15 years and is still being used. I pride myself in giving you what you want without trying to drag in outside interpretation. I may make suggestions or toss out ideas, but the client has the ultimate say-so on what their vision is. My job is to make your vision come alive.

I have a complete digital recording studio that I own and run and can produce work with quick turnaround with superb audio fidelity results. I can send out mp3 files via emails, or my studio is a block from the post ofice for overnight mail delivery. (Long audio files must be sent out on disk, or broken up into shorter blocks for emailing.) I also have music and SFX libraries if needed for additional production.
