Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Good at accents, typical British, looking for a hooker Cockney, not drunk Northern Irish, drunk Southern Irish, Mexican trying to seduce a donkey, French trying to seduce anything, Little Jewish guy complaining (all the time with the compaining), Blue callor cat calling New Yorker, angry Italian trying to be a cat calling New Yorker, seductive gay caberet male, a trying to convert a straight man flamboyant gay male, hearty pirate, good at mimicry. Let me hear it for a few seconds and I can usually copy it. I can do Patrick from Spongebob, Marge from the Simpsons, the spongebob laugh, and Quagmier...etc.
My Voice Experience
Nickalodeon cartoon - "Hey Arnold" - Bully.
The Auld Dubliner Irish Pub Demo Commercial for Kcal Radio - Manic Irishman.
I was recruited from an acting class by an agent from ICM who thought my voice had good character qualities. I began to audition shortly there after and booked the Nickalodeon gig. I stopped just after because of a writing deal. Now that I have my 4 year old kid, I am in cartoon world daily and the voices draw me in. My own voices come out to entertain my kid and I realize that I have to get back to performing.
My Training
Studied with Bobby Shaw Chance in her expressions unlimited acting program.
Ms. Barry's commercial acting classes.
Cameron Thor Acting studio student.
All acting classes apply to doing Voice overs. The same ability to break down script and find nuance apply. Subtle inflection changes and ability to take direction are paramount.
My Studio Equipment
just a home computer. Building one.
Additional Skills
I speak Spanish and lived in Mexico City when I was thirteen. This experience gave me an ear for accent. It actually kept me from being beaten up. The more naturalized I sounded the better off for my health.
