My voice is soft and can be sexy and low or be very harsh and abrassive. I can speak with a very professional voice or that of an illiterate farm boy.
I practice accents such as Austrailian, Irish, Scott and various regional accents of the United States. My voice can be very boring or lively, serious or playful, straight or gay, steady or shakey.
I capture charachters and practice their voices.

My Voice Experience

I studied acting in college in the early seventies and earned a broadcast license. Life caught up with me and I went about the course of building a career to feed the family.

I was recently injured at work and now live on long term disability insurance and have the time to re-enter the field of my first love.

I have no on-air or recording experience but have a bonafide talent, time to pursue it and a desire to suceed.

My Training

I spent five years in high school in the school orchestra and received awards and schollarships for solo performances. I acted in school plays and tallent shows.

I attended Phoenix College for acting and broadcasting in 1972, 1973 and part of 1974.
I moved to Colorado in 1974 and worked in the post office, a steel mill and became a State Trooper. I met many charachters and learned many voices. I attended a training course for commercial acting and performed in several movies as an extra.

I completed studies in journalism and have written many travel logs for friends and family.
I continue to develop my skill as a writer and have recently attended classes to further my skill in other areas of writing interest.

I was trained to be an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Army and became responsible for the maintenance of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters while assigned to a signal unit in the Republic of Viet Nam. When I returned from Viet Nam, I joined the ready reserve then later the Colorado National Guard.

I am an airplane pilot, a helicopter pilot, a motorcyclist, and martial artist. I have taught in all these disciplines. I spent 24 years in the National Guard. Ten of those years were in the U.S. Army Special Forces, the rest were as a helicopter pilot.

I have worked as an airline pilot for the last 17 years and have travelled in that profession to Asia and the middle east, south and Central America, and extensively in the United States and Europe.

I have travelled to out of the way places like islands in the Hong Kong harbor and dined with the locals on fish, fresh from boat.

I've walked the streets of Jaffa and experienced the neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, Caesarea, and Jerusalem. I've floated in the Dead Sea, walked the palaces of Masada and the ancient port of Caesarea

I have experienced cultures around the world; from Ecuadoran indigenous peoples to the world of political leaders, dignitaries and royalty. I've learned from all of them and each of them.

In many instances I can put the mentality with the voice for a fuller experience.
