Voice Description

My voice can be rich or thin, quick or measured. I can do accents from the British Isles in a range of locations and apparent social classes. I can pick up most accents, and even particular voices, that I have encountered with a short preparation period. My female voices, while not usually convincing enough for voice acting, are sufficiently evocative for audio books. I project both emotions and physical states (such as exhaustion, nausea, or pain) quite well.

My Voice Experience

My experience in talking for my living has, up until now, been limited to giving technical support over the phone. This required talking in a clear, soothing voice, and projecting empathy, to distressed people. Recently I have begun volnteering at RFB&D, Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic, at their location in King of Prussia, PA. I was lead to try recording audio books by the repeated recommendations of perfect strangers who overheard me reading aloud to my Significant Other in public places.
