My voice has been described (without prompting and from a variety of sources) as deep, strong, and clear, and though I feel this is true my voice also has a great deal of depth and range that (historically) only my family and close friends have been privy to. I assume many vocal identities in real life, from English Royalty to Ozark Hillbilly, Experienced Business Executive to Socially-Inept Nerd.

Some of the roles I see myself doing well in are; Documentaries (both historical and scientific), Commercials geared towards an older, sophisticated audience, video game characters (of almost any variety), and light-hearted comedic ad spots.

My Voice Experience

I'm one of those people who was always told I should be a radio announcer; My natural speaking voice is pitched low, and I tend to speak as clearly as possible while naturally varying my pitch. I have always had a habit of enunciating somewhat dramatically, which didn't help me mesh well with my classmates at the rural Illinois high school I attended.

As an adult, I draw on a variety of sources for inspiration; Movies, television, commercials, my musical and songwriting experience, games, friends and acquaintances. I realize that many voice actors have some background in traditional acting, but it has always been my view that life is the best classroom, so long as you're paying attention.
