My Voice Experience
James Henderson was born and raised in the Houston area. He took an interest in music at an early age. James had a keen ear for music, and he became his fathers guitar student during his pre-teen years. He quickly acquired the basic techniques of playing guitar and went on to study under the direction of several accomplished guitar teachers in and around the Houston area.
By age 12 James was performing on stages at local oprys, county fairs, and just about any music venue he could find. He entered and won numerous competitions and was often invited to perform with bands whose members were adults. He was eager to learn and eager to perform, and very popular among teen and adult crowds whenever he sang and played.
Jamess dream was to attend The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston. James accepted an offer to audition for the vocal department at HSPVA with Rob Sieble and Patricia Bonner. He was one of about 2000 students who competed for 200 spots at HSPVA that year. James was accepted, and completed all four years at HSPVA.
Later James accepted a part-time position with Radio Hill Country in Marble falls. He discovered he was familiar with much of the software and computer programs used at the radio station, and soon he was helping others at the station gain a better understanding of those programs and software. With his vast knowledge of production and his witty humor, James became a co-host at the station, making up half of the very popular Kay and Jay morning show.
Today in addition to his co-hosting duties, James is the production director for 92.5 and 1340 AM KBEY, LoneStar 102.5, and 106.9 Lite in Marble Falls, Texas.
James has voiced commercials for various clients in years past, including the Commemorative Air Force, Llano National Bank, L.A. Weight Loss, Ratliff Ford, Ratliff Chevy and many many more.
