My first voiceover job came about as a result of a casting I had gone to for the film Buffalo Soldiers. My voice was kept on file by the studio and listed by the studio. Several different companies selected my voice for their projects for its tonality and the fact that it had the pronunciation precision they wanted for their English language versions. Another I got when the man contacting me heard my voice on the answering machine. He said if that was my voice, it was the voice he wanted. I did voiceovers for computer training and presentations such as MY SAP. I also did English language tapes for a language school in Stuttgart and a movie promo for an animated film. I completed the English voice over for a German documentary on underground Boeblingen about the tunnels created as bomb shelters during WW II. I have narrated 8 books on Audible/Amazon.
I have a MS degree in Education Evaluation from USC and a BA in English and History from Va. Tech. I performed in four theater productions in college, three shows in Bedford, Virginia, over 50 productions in Stuttgart, Germany and have been in over 25 stage productions in Florida since returning to the States in 2008 as well as many localcommercials and several independent films. My favorite roles have been Kris Kringle (Miracle on 34th Sytreet), Man in the Chair/Narrator (Drowsy Chaperone), Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof), Pseudelous (Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), Prof. Harry Higgins (My Fair Lady), Paul Bratter (Barefoot in the Park) and Bill Sykes (Oliver). I had small parts in two movies directed by Roland Emmerich (Centropolis Entertainment) and a small part in a German TV show, TATORT (The Dream from Luck). I completed an English voiceover for a German documentary on underground Boeblingen. Aside from my theater minor, I have taken various workshops in acting and also studied singing for several years with several voice coaches.
I have recording capabilities in my home and can do many projects there.
I was a teacher for 31 years for the department of Defense Schools. The last eight years were spent teaching via Distance Learning and my students were spread all over the world. I created many activities and lectures using both video and audio presentations of my lessons. I have performed in over 80 live theater presentations, several movies and one German TV show. I did voice over work for several different companies while living in Germany.
