My Voice Experience

From a young age I have embraced mimicry and adaptation as forms of learning, - in fact, I would likely tell anyone that asks that learning is my strongest natural gift - so I have always leaned toward picking up the nuances of whatever I am attempting more quickly than most.

Voice acting is no exception.

Whether it was practicing vocal flexibility in my early years as a choral performer, musical theater actor, or vocal coach, I quickly learned that I had a knack for growing into any role while fitting into the framework of any given piece. As I came to recognize that I had a love for voice acting, in particular though, I began branching out into home recording, music production, and digital composition as a means to support this new desire.

Through this, I became a composer on a few independent video games and short films, voiced a number of parts for various volunteer radio-plays, business presentations, motion comics, and indie video games, and I am currently helping with music composition and direction for the Overmare Studios as well as voicing a few parts here and there in their VA division.

I have a passion to be ever-growing, ever-learning, and ever-bettering anything and everything I do, and for voice acting this is especially true as I push myself physically, emotionally, and mentally in any session I have been a part of or lead.

My Training

I have a minor in music from the University of North Texas as well as experience in voice lessons for two years. I earned these along with a minor in German and a major in Decision Science.(Originally, I was composition student in music for a couple of years before switching to learn a different skill-set)

I have taken workshops outside of my undergrad in acting, voice acting, and numerous other theatrical outlets over the years as well which play a part in my learning and development.

I have also been a producer of both music and film on three productions with Rooster Teeth Community Shorts, a group I helped start within the larger Rooster Teeth Community, and I have worked with a number of people from a number of countries on projects that cover the entire spectrum of genre from comedy to documentary to horror.
