My Voice Experience
From 15 years ago, I did a 30 second spot for a man who's car I was working on. I was living in Atlanta at the time, so that was a major market. For several weeks I couldnt wait for that commercial to play.
Since then, I had a Saturday radio program at a 50,000 watt county station in Southern Ohio. I believe they still play some of my old commercials and tags and thats been over 8 years ago. Actually, I thought they were terrible.
Over this last year, Ive been fortunate to have many local ads in our smaller market here.. an average of
2 or 3 per week that I write and produce. Additionally, much of my work is centered around writing programs dealing with Human Resource Concerns for companies in our area.
My Training
Truthfully, Ive wasted a lot of money going to school over the years. At one time I had 17 diplomas and certificates hanging on the wall. I should have waited a decade. Technologies, methods ..just everything has changed. In Atlanta, little better than 15 years ago, I took a voiceover class. Now, granted it wasnt as competitive back then as it is now; but it was harder. Out of 30 voiceover auditions, only 2 people were encouraged to continue to try and succeed. I wasnt the first pick but the second one. I never called them, but they never called me either. Today, I'm going to continue to train everyday to sound more "believable".

Additional Skills
Some say this is not a good trait, I'm task-oriented. Yet, with good communication, anything can be achieved.. even perfection. It takes work and dedication. I despise failure. Any project I earn will have my complete attention to detail.
