Voice Description
My voice had been described as a "universal" and non-distinct voice. I was reared in the South, but I do NOT have a distinctive Southern accent. I have a warm and consoling voice, but I can, also, speak in a sexy manner.
I believe that my voice is smooth and professional, and that I can deliver a professional sounding voice for most any company.

I have no specific distinct accent, but I can speak as:

My Voice Experience
I have no previous "voice over" experience, but I have been involved in many vocal presentations (choirs, solos, glee club, acting performances) and have been involved in several acting experiences during my life.
I am a retired college professor from The College of Charleston in Charleston, SC, and I have a very literate-sounding voice which I can project with ease.
In addition, I was a minister for several years and had many opportunities to speak to both small and large congregations.
Furthermore, I was a regular participant in The College of Charleston's Speaker's Bureau through which I made many vocal presentations to all different kinds of groups from local social organizations (e.g. Kiawans, Optimist, Lions Clubs) to national and regional professional and social organizations (American Philosophical Association, Seroptimist International, South Carolina Society for Philosophy, South Carolina Society for the Humanities, etc.
My voice is one of clarity, forcefulness and, as the occasion demands, comical or sincere.
My Training
My academic training includes: a BA in philosophy from Louisiana College (1962), a BD in theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1965), and a MA (1969) and a Ph.D.(1974) in philosophy from Vanderbilt University.
I have performed in both acting and singing areas:
I was in one play in high school, playing the role of Thomas Jefferson; I was in a melodramatic play in college (Pure as the Driven Snow); I had a singing role in The Flowertown Players production of "My Fair Lady" in 2002.
My Studio Equipment
I do not currently have any audio studio equipment at my residence, but I do have access to audio eqipment at The College of Charleston as a retired professor from that school.
Additional Skills
All of my professional life as a professor involved extensive speaking presentations in both the classroom, in committee meeting and at meetings of professional organizations to which I belonged during my active teaching career.
