Voice Description
I do warm, deep, midwestern, southern, authoritative, rich, baritone reads in the narrative, and do great Irish Lepracaun or straight, little old British lady voices, and Australian. My voice can be warm and seductive or redneck hillbilly. All depends on the part. I do a lot of bank ads, insurance, medical websites, webinars, training videos for retail chains and classy auto ads. I have also done several audiobooks with no accent to role playing , and several cartoon voices. I play a farmer at the Smithsonian...an exhibit for kids interactive and an Irish voice at the museum at Harpers Ferry.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Little old British lady, dancing Irishman, Australian, Troy McClure, Mexican, Southern Man, Stoner, German. I lived in Germany as a child, so can be authentic or "over the top" ala "HHHHogan...", Swedish, Mexican (Not to be confused with Spanish), Indian, Brooklyn, intellectual or dimwit. Nobility and dead broke. Since I've lived all over the world, I have a very good ear for slight differences in voices and dialects.
My Voice Experience
I've been the voice over talent for Audio books,(currently working on Ted Kennedy's Bio) Bank, Medical, lawyer, Promos for Micro Breweries, franchise start-ups, Car ads that range from over the top hard sell to smooth and classy. I've done children's audiobooks and several different cartoon characters. Instructional DVDs for Hastings Entertainment, car parts dealers, KC Learning for KinderCare and Podcasts for newspapers. Have done VO's for Welcome to Mississippi and award presentations. Done ads that are extreme serious to down right silly and fun. I have gone from a rich Baratone DJ voice, to toothless Civil War soldier, and guy next door in back-to-back sessions. I also can do very serious and compelling voice over work. I take every job very seriously and do the best performance that I can, as I try to visualize and become the character so instead of reading lines on a page.
My Training
Majored in Radio, TV Film at University of Georgia with a minor in Speech. Been to several voice over classes in Nashville and have even taught a few. Classes with Bettye Zoller, Joe Loesch and Rick Lance. I've done theatre, radio, TV and DVD voiceovers. When I was in High School in Atlanta I worked with noted personality "Skinny Bobby" Harper, writing and producing skits with him. He was the character that Johnny Fever was modeled after in the show "WKRP in Cinncinnti".
My Studio Equipment
I have a great audio set up that is good enough for most ads and is perfect for auditions. My personal mic is an MXL 006 USB and a MXL 909 in my whisper room. My computer is fast and clean. If it's a big budget job that demands a higher degree of broadcast quality, I use an award winning studio here in Nashville. The studio is state of the art with the best equipment available . The owner is a top notch producer and director and can sinc video to audio, compress, expand, pitch, and has the ability to do A thru Z at any given time. Huge library of music and sound effects. If he doesn't have the music, he's talented enough to create it. He has two studios; Readio Theatre where audio books are written and produced (Which I have played many roles )and Creative License. His equipment includes: ProTools Digi 002, Nueman U-87, complete sound studio, Peak LE, Toast, JAM, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, FTP Site, and PhotoShop CS.
Additional Skills
Produced over 300 DVDs doing everything from getting the rights, designing packaging, producing and several of the voice overs. Sold over a million of them. All audio work is done with pro-studio here in Nashville using state of the art equipment and production by award winning Joe Loesch or from my home studio. Audio books are done at Readiotheatre in Nashville by the same gentleman. Books range from children, civil war, baseball, biographies and bibletales. I also read books for the Library for the Blind here in Nashville. I also do a daily news feed for the Bend Bulletin out of Portland.
