I've provided voiceovers for projects worldwide over the last 15 years.
They range from serious thought-provoking campaigns to fun and quirky childrens audiobook characters.
Here's a short list of some of them:
E-learning modules ranging from university courses to corporate training - Bayer Healthcare, Legal Island, Texaco, Xerox, Open University, Orange, ADR International, Body Shop
Campaigns for new drugs and the fight against disease - Roche, Johnson & Johnson, Coldisol, Bayer Healthcare
Corporate videos, promo videos and telephone voices for small & large businesses - Orange(Wildfire Product), Xerox(both UK & Irish accents), Anana, WHO, Google, PwC, Vistabee, Burson Marsteller, Barclays, Verifund Capital
Characters, Games and Audio books - Beemates books, Little Mouse books, Sherlock Holmes, Black Beauty, Peter Rabbit, EA Theme Park Inc
Children's education material - Brainy Baby, Hug Your Baby, Little Lunches
TV & radio ads & narration - BBC World War in Colour series, C4 Wellington's Women, ITV Sponsor campaigns, ads & intros Classic FM, Arrow FM
I originally trained as an actress & singer at college and had already had small parts in TV and film productions as well as small and lead roles in theatre productions.
I transferred these skills to voiceovers, joined an agency and was working professionally soon after, where my 1st job was for Pantene Shampoo using an Irish accent, followed by becoming the voice of one the first IVR phone products for Orange called 'Wildfire'.
My training has been through experience ever since :)
I have a custom built recording studio which includes:
- Studiobricks ONE professional sound booth
- Rode & Shure microphones
- Pro Tools recording & editing software
- Mbox
- Open & closed headphones and studio playback speakers
- Monitors in both the sound booth and the editing suite - which is great as I can use split screen and record/read from script only or play video and 'record-to-picture'.
- ipdtl
I have also have a background as a musician and singer.
This really helps when a video comes with music attached as I can quickly gauge the tone, pace and feel needed from the voiceover to complete the project and make it gel together.
If clients are unsure I can also advise which style or piece of music would best enhance their project.
I have studied drama and English which enables me to proof read scripts and provide competent re-writes if required, to make the script flow more naturally or help translated scripts sound more 'UK'.
I'm really interested in new film, theatre and art and I've found this has seeped through into my work life at points, where clients have asked for my advice whilst looking for new ways to engage their audience in their products.
