I sound like I am from nowhere...but in a good way ! No distinct or pronounced accent, but can offer Southern, Midwest and certain dialects. Very 'guy next door' without being overbearing (until requested)Warm and friendly. I sound mainly like I am talking "to you" not "at you" (unless directed). I have been doing commercial work for upwards of 25 years and can offer you most anything that you are looking to be delivered. I catch on quickly to direction from you about exactly what you are looking for.

My Voice Experience

I have been in Radio/TV (on-air) for 26 years in the Washington DC/Baltimore markets. I have worked for Evergreen, Shamrock, Clear Channel, Metro Traffic and XM Satellite Radio since 1983. All types of recording - Commercials for radio broadcasts, I was a voice over announcer for "Homicide: Life on the Streets" TV series, PA Announcer for the CFL Football team in Baltimore, and most recently, I handled the production of all commercials/promos for 22 national channels of Traffic & Weather on XM Satellite Radio.

My Training

I have been hands on training with the old grease pencil and razor blade since the 80's into the world of Dalet, Scott and NexGen Wizard with recording and digital editing. Began working as a senior in high school in 1984, at the nation's only all comedy format, WJOK, outside of Washington DC and have been plodding along ever since continuing to master the trade in the voice over world.

M-Audio Fast Track Pro with Adobe Audition 3.0 with varying mic's with Shure Dynamic SM58 used most often.

Additional Skills

Most recently at XM, I was in charge of airchecking all 60+ employees on their delivered content. Some markets are looking for a very laid back attitude in their expected delivery, and other markets are very matter-of-fact and "abrupt" - "Just the facts, ma'am"..it was very important to all in management, that we fit the right anchor/delivery with each of the 21 national markets.
