My Voice Experience

I admit it... I'm in love with the sound of my own voice. That's a good thing, right?

I have worked for years to develop vocal abilities for both speaking and singing, and I feel that the following are my best uses:
1. Normal guy/everyman acting roles
2. Cartoonish/comedic voices & impersonations
3. Business and technical presentations
4. Music vocals, lead or background

My professional voice over experience has thus far consisted of recording real estate audio files for my own personal website.
My unprofessional voice experience is much wider. In school I narrated a number of class video and audio projects, and of course, majoring in Studio recording and owning a hobby studio has given me plenty of experience behind the mixing board and behind the microphone.

My Training

Associate of Arts Degree in Commercial Music Recording from American River College, Sacramento, CA.
Also got Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics for some reason.

Started reading at age 2. Public speaking experience began in church congregation at age 8 and continued regularly for nearly 20 years.
Piano lessons with MTAC teacher from age 9-15 with regular public performances.
High school choir, high school jazz band, regular public performances.
Began self-teaching guitar at age 18.
Sang in college acapella vocal jazz ensemble, lead singer in college pop/rock band, played keyboard and accordion.
College coursework included voice training, music business, songwriting, extensive studio work, live recording, and theater/acting.
"Coffee shop" performances of covers and original music.

Licensed real estate salesperson in California, member of the Sacramento Association of REALTORS, California Association of REALTORS, and National Association of REALTORS.

Currently a junior at California State University, Sacramento.

My Studio Equipment

I use Pro Tools LE on a dedicated (non-internet) PC with the Digi 002 for professional quality sound.
Shure KSM27 condenser mic for my voice; also use Shure SM57.
Monster cables... they are stupidly expensive.
M-Audio Studiophile BX5 studio monitors.
Recording done on my shiny homemade PC. No Dell for me... your project deserves better.
Ensoniq KS-32 keyboard/ MIDI controller (some call it old; I call it classic).

Additional Skills

I can play piano and keyboard-- well --and deliver music if needed.
Above all, I strive to be a professional in whatever endeavor I am undertaking. What happened to the rule that says musicians are supposed to be unreliable?
I love learning and new experiences.
I work excellently with others and believe in the future of humanity.
Free of all drugs and performance-enhancing substances.
