My Voice Experience

I started out years ago sounding like a 13 year-old because ... well ... I was a 13 year-old radio DJ on an Austin radio station. I eventually matured (my voice did, at least) and ended up sounding like a real radio announcer. I've produced hundreds of commercials since the 1970s, and have relaxed by delivery to sound more conversational. Recently I've specialized in podcast openings for customers, including mixing in sound effects to give them pizzazz!

My Studio Equipment

I have a home studio where I use an Audio-Technica AT4060 vacuum tube microphone for that "warm" sound in my sound booth. I use a Mackie ONYX-820i mixer, Presonus Firepod and Firestudio, along with a Yamaha MOTIF ES6 keyboard for production music and sound effects.
