I was a successful apprentice for a Detroit PBS station. I moved on to the NBC affiliate in Detroit, then to an ABC affiliate in Dayton,OH. I continued to train my voice in between jobs as a polite, articulate and intelligent switchboard operator. I was a TV on-air talent and fund-raiser for a GA PBS station and their premiere station image voice. I trained and worked for On-Mic Productions, a full-service Radio/TV/Image Packaging company, where my voice is heard world-wide for radio and TV liners/drops and commercials for the following: Tylenol, Rooms-To-Go, Maytag, Home Depot, Pine-Sol, Red Lobster, Mrs. Dash, Febreeze, Country Time Lemonade, 50 Million Pound Challenge, State Farm, Bayer,Wal-Mart and many churches across the country. I was the first African-American female image voice for Radio One in GA. And for the past 11 years I have and am currently the host of a 5 hour syndicated gospel radio show.
My first VO job was reading morning announcements over the Public Address system at Southeastern High School in Detroit, MI.
I graduated Wayne State University in Detroit, MI with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film.
I won the "2000 Gospel Air Personality of the Year" award from the National Black Programmers Coalition.
In my home studio, I have the 0404/USP mixer/voice processor, Audio Technia 3035 mic, Buffalo External Hard Drive, monitors, fax, copier, printer. And access to state-of-the-art production facilities.
