I have two daughters who are teenagers now, but as little girls, I used to always read to them their children's books, bringing the characters to life using character voices. They loved it so much, they typically checked out 25 books each (the limit) but wanted me to read each one every night! These were such books as "Farmer Duck", Patricia Polassco's "Babushka's Doll" and many of her others, "Festus and Mercury Go Camping" -a Swedish book, and a Chinese book - "Tiki Tiki Tembori".

My Voice Experience

I had taken a voice-over class when living in Washington, D.C., with the purpose of using the teacher as a resource. I signed on to his workshop and trained and recorded varied scenarios. He was very interested in my foreign accents for commercials before I ended up leaving the area to move to California. Once I arrived in Los Angeles, I immediately became involved in scfipt-supervising for film, and took a trining course prior to working a number of "B" projects, and a commercial here and there. I was not satisfied, and continued to pursue voice over. It was with a workshop that met in N. Hollywood - I cannot remember her name... - with whom I trained on variuos vocal tone to achieve varied emotions using the same script. These have not lead into opportunities because I had not taken them to that notch. However, my fomal training has been extensive,and I understand very well, and can execute the script visually rather than read.
