My Voice Experience

From Texas to Trinidad, my voice and I have performed on and off camera. I am the Female Narrator voice as well as a Principal on camera for documentaries such as 'Katherin Stinson, Queen of the Air', about the life of the early woman aviator and 'Dallas, Story of a City', about the founding of the City of Dallas. I have recorded Audio Books for the Dallas Reading & Radio Resource organiztion as well as for CK Productions, Inc. I have performed speaking roles in films and commercials for SF Norge AS, Ken Mandel Productions, and the ACTS Network.

My Training

I received my first formal acting and voice training from Mr. Peter Gordon of the Pasadena Playhouse. In High School, I was taught, mentored, and strongly encouraged by Lucky Watkins, to whom I am indebted. I continued my theatrical training throughout my University career at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and at the University of Texas in Austin studying Theater as Graduate Student.

Bettye Zoller introduced me to the exciting world of Voice Over when I attended her seminar, 'Cartoon Character Voices'. I have attended several more of Bettye's seminars, including 'Voice Acting Techniques', 'Audio Book Narration Techniques' and 'The Business of Voice Over'.

I have performed in many theatrical productions and have extensive stage experience as an actor, singer and dancer. My experience as a High School Drama Coach and English Teacher are also valuable resources.

In addition to my voice and acting background, I have a significant number of years experience in the Corporate world as a Receptionist, an Office Manager, a Human Resources Manager and as an Executive Assistant. The types of businesses where I performed these functions are primarily Real Estate related companies, Architectural and Interior Design firms and Computer Technology and Services companies.

While in graduate school, I worked as a cashier and hostess in a local hotel restaurant

I have traveled around the world to Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, Scandinavia and the Carribean.

I have the world's best husband and two wonderful son's, both of which are in college. I understand and can very genuinely convey the voice of a wife and of a mother.
