Voice Description

I am capable of delivering many different tones, accents, octaves, and emotions and voices in general. The voice I am best known for is a deep resonate tone, reminisant of Don "The Voice" LaFontaine. It's a very commanding yet soothing to the ear, low-end voice. One that you might hear in a movie preview, announcing for a game show, or describing a product for an infomercial. I can also provide many other voices and feels for those voices. For example if you wanted a hip guy voice, i would be capable of providing a relaxed hip guy voice, a zany hip guy voice, a compelling hip guy voice, etc. My accents are also quite good, and I can adapt to the emotion and feel of any script put in front of me.

My Training

"A brief introduction to voice over" in 1998 @ CSSSA (California State Summer School for the Arts) followed by a voice over coarse @ Pierce College in 1999. Lead singer and lyricist for the L.A. based band Pensativa (iTunes, MySpace) playing to sold out audiences at L.A. hotspots such as House of Blues, The Roxy, and The Whisky. (No Stranger to Crowd Performance) Recorded 2 full length albums with Pensativa both of which are available on iTunes, CDBaby, etc. Currently recording full length solo album under the name i.m.seay, with producer Davis Jones (sound mixer, Family Guy), and Jazz Fusion legend, Blaine McGurdy. Beyond vocals I also play guitar and piano. In addition, I recently wrote, performed, and recorded the opening theme music for "Brink" on the Science Channel, and "The Shift" on Discovery Channel.

My Studio Equipment

I have a Mac Pro, running the most recent updated Logic 8 rig and recording live through an Apogee Duet interface, of which I am quite fluent with recording Vocals, Instrumentation, Overdubs, Mixing, and Mastering (with emphasis on compression technique). I also am running and am familiar with Source Connect and FTP clients on my Mac. In addition, I have 24/7 access to a Pro Tools HD Studio with a Control24 Board and many varieties of vocal microphones.
