Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I am very good at imitating accents, especially Latin American accents in Spanish. My mother tongue is Spanish but I am fluent in English with an accent that can be rarely identified as from a specific place.

For years I have practiced and perfected accents such as Venezuelan, Mexican, Argentinian, Spanish from Madrid,and Latin American neutral. My friends love it, and they request it! :)

From time to time I develop different new characters just for fun. Two of my most known among friends are 'The Nun,' a Spanish nun who happens to be a bit too 'sexy' considering her religious duties. It's a character that has made many of my friends laugh through the years.

My Voice Experience

So far, I have not had any experiences doing voice over professionally. I have been an amateur impersonator among friends.

I have had, however, many lessons in acting and stage performance, as well as voice lessons (I can sing -- especially musicals -- and I have performed in choirs, plays, and musicals).

This year (2009) I was the voice over for a documentary narration produced by the Science Writing Program at MIT where I am currently a graduate student.

What I bring to the project is perhaps a rich background in science and writing.
One could argue it has little to do with my attempts here, yet I would say it has taught me a sense of discipline, the ability to adapt, to be creative, to reinvent myself constantly, and to operate and navigate new situations.
