Voice Description

The voices I project depends on the activity I am performing. When reading a book to an infant my voice becomes warm and smooth to create a calm and peaceful environment for my listener.

As an administrative assistant I am able to project my voice with professionalism for presentations and recordings.

My voice can be projected in different ways and can be used in different situations. When it's a happy moment I sound fun and enthusiastic. I speak both English and Spanish without an accent, but if needed, it can be possible.

My Voice Experience

My first presentation at my current job was to present the new style guide to the staff and that meant getting in front of 30 staff members and presenting a new document format. Eye contact was very important it would set the tone in my voice, but I couldn't keep eye contact because the staff need to read the hand outs. So with this in mind I quickly turn off the lights and with a firm voice started pointing out all the do's and don'ts when formating a document. I rised the tone of my voice when I wanted to emphasize an important point. At the end all were interested and participating with questions.

My Training

In college I took speach classes. I remember Ms. Johnson (my professor) at the begining of our class she would have us stand up and say out loud I love you, you love me, I love my neighbor and he or she will love my voice today. With confidence and mannerism I will project the gift I have to him or her. Today, I wake up and continue to say the same.

Additional Skills

Over the years I have been chosen to record the greeting on the voice mail system at my current job. It has been indicated that I have an appealing voice with a warm and comforting tone. When held the position as a receptionist callers enjoyed hearing a well mannered person on the other end.
