People have been wanting to listen to my voice for most of my life. In 1976, working at the famous KHJ rock 'n roll radio station in Los Angeles, California, I would record the Music Director's top 30 hit list. And, our call-ins jumped because of "... that girl's voice!" I went from there to KNX-FM and that's where the phone calls started to really accelerate and the interest in my voice from others raised my interest too. I took a voice over class and it changed - my - life! 2 years later I was dubbing foreign language films from all over the European continent. I wish I'd kept records at that early age, but there is one role that stood out from the rest when I played the role of Claudia in the ROBOTECH cartoon series. It began the fascination with Anime in this country. From there, my voiceover career grew and I worked a lot while living in Los Angeles and also when I lived in New York City/Manhattan.
I was the female daytime and Saturday morning promo voice for CBS from 1986 to 1988, interrupted when I moved to New York. I picked back up after moving back to L.A., in 1993 and continued working at CBS for many years after. I've done promo work and worked on campaigns for ABC daytime "The Sexiest Man", NBC promos and TV-ONE night time programming. Commercials: FORD, McDonald's, Kodak, Susan B. Komen for the cure spokesperson (2 years), Hershey's chocolate, Shell Oil, Chrysler, Western Union Bank, Bell South, American Express, Mrs. Universe Pageant and more. Voicing copy for Radio Stations - smooth jazzy cool, Banks, Hospitals, Live shows, books on tape, narration and the Happy Birthday song for friends.

I've been an entertainer all my life. I've either acted, done voice over work, written, directed, produced theatre, recited my own poetry or sung a jazz song in a show. I've been a muse for many and a mentor to others. This is what I know and I do it well. I love to use my talents to help charities put on a more successful benefit. For my foster care charity, I write, direct and lighting design their main season gala. For my theatre festival charity, I assisted in the organization and promotion of it and also created three workshops for the event, along with participating on a panel regarding the state of theatre. For ANSA, I directed their musical benefit with Taj Mahal, Ericka Baddu and so many others. I have written three one-person shows, winning critical acclaim for one of them. I've traveled with two of them, playing to 300+ audiences. I have workshops to teach others how to create, write and act in solo shows. I use my voice for a charities or a friend's child's college student project, if it helps them with their cause. I am creative. I love it and I live to share it.
In my previous life, I answered phones,
made coffee,
typed,
filed and ran errands,
but I was much younger then...
