Voice Description
My voice is deep, loud, and projects extremely well. It can be authoritive, or soft and kind. I pick up dialects and accents readily, and enjoy playing with strange and goofy voices and coming up with different characters.
I also compose and record original music for any purpose or mood.
I operate with a full digital studio from home, with Hi-speed internet.

My Voice Experience
My first voiceover work was on the William Shatner TV show "Tekwar" in the mid '90s. I was actually part of the tech crew, when the sound dept. asked me to do a ghost vocal for a game voice called "Destruction." The script assistant circled my lines, and blistered through the entire script. The tape never paused; I had a single pass at a cold read, which was pretty intimidating, but I'm a good reader, and they were happy. About three weeks later I got a call from the post production supervisor, who asked me if I'd like to do the real tracks. In the studio, I had a few more passes at the lines, with direction from the recordists. Just when I'm getting into it and enjoying myself, they tell me 'thank-you, we're done!' I was worried that they didn't like what they got, but it turned out the opposite was true, and we had done the whole script.
After that I started working in my home studio that I use for my music, and made up ads, did voiceovers for them, and added music. I started on a 4-track cassette recorder, which served my well, but now I use the same computer I'm typing this on, and I have 48 tracks of pristine digital with unlimited editing and effects possibilities. Up until recently, it's been more of a hobby than a living, (a training period, if you will) as I've been very busy in the Toronto film industry. But now I'm out of the city in gorgeous cottage country, and I'm determined to make this studio a very busy place.
