My Voice Experience

I was recording in french the voice of a french canadian hockey player. Reading the script in french i had the voice quality that they wanted rugged and masculine. The producer of the voicer over spot came to me after listening to the recording and said he was no going to give me the part of the coach. This had less dialogue but ws still in french. When i asked him what the trouble was and what i could do to iprove he just smiled and said nothing you have done very well it is just you sound like an english canadian speaking french. I studied at the Drama Studio affiliated to UC Berkely and have performed as an actor both on stage and before the camera's for years. For the last ten(10) years I have been reading and recording the sports at Voiceprint which is broadcast to over 500,000. visually impaired Canadians.
