Voice Description

Ty Hurd offers VO styles ranging from the funny guy next door, to the serious father type, to a cool sexy soul sound. Offering a wide range of voices from a deep sexy sounding voice reminiscent of Berry White, to a dead on Wolf Man Jack, to a very straight corporate style.

Also very well versed in characters as well - doing a great urban/gangster style Latino, a funny Tommy Chong impression, a great "Abbo" from the Simpson, and many more.

If you're looking for a certain character sound, chances are I can come up with something to fit the part.

My Voice Experience

As the somtimes co-anchor for the "Drive Time" AM show on Chicago's WBEZ (with a 6,000,000+ audience base) he has experience in live work were you only get one take. He has also done several radio commercials for McDonald's and other national brands as well as TV and radio spots for his native Aspen Colorado area business. He's also entertained children at daycares and hospitals just for the good deed (and practice)

In addition to his expansive VO work he's enjoyed day parts on the feature films "Aspen Extreme" and "Encino Man". Additionally he's been in front of the camera in several TV commercials including a international Coors spot.

My Training

Years of formal theater, drama and speech communication classes to obtain the widest range possible with impeccable timing. Ty has also trained with the Rocky Mountain Talent Pool (and was also a coach there for a few years as well), and has spent countless hours making funny voices in the mirror for his own entertainment... ;-)
