The story is about Boima and Bendu, a set of Liberian twins living in Kakata, Liberia. The children have worked all rainy season on their Uncle's rice farm and now go to the "big city" marketplace in Monrovia, in search of "Something special, something different—a special something!" to buy.
This 1 minute snippet from the hour long children's story, is the opening of chapter 2, where the children are in the marketplace and the mercants, seeing the money bulge in Boima's pocket, call out to the boy to come spend the money with them....
