My Voice Experience

Semiannually went on the air at the local NPR radio station during their pledge drives encouraging listeners to pledge to the station. The station personnel kept asking me to come back because I "made the phones ring." I am still affiliated with the station as a reader for their Radio Information Service reading newspapers and magazines for the sight impaired.

My Training

Voices For All Master Class. Several years onstage experience in theater and opera productions. Sang bass in operas in English, Italian, and Latin. Note that I do not speak Italian or Latin; I learned the lyrics phonetically.

My Studio Equipment

Macintosh computer with Audacity installed as recording software. Located in room with "dead" ambient sound. Standard condenser microphone attached to the computer through a USB interface to the computer's USB port.
