My voice is used on the telephone recording for the Knutzen Family Theatre's primary information line. I played a Mom in a booster seat commercial where I spoke words of encouragement to my son. I am hired in theatre for my ability to adapt my voice to various characters, ex. breathy for Deirdre in I Hate Hamlet, strong and demanding for Cassie in Rumors. I am often asked to record the announcement that is made at the top of a show informing patrons to turn off cell phones, etc. in various voices to coincide with whichever show is running that particular night. I've recently recorded a voice over for a 3 minute promotional piece for a Catholic radio station.
I hold a BFA in Theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in Chicago and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. I've completed advanced training at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC. I've studied commercial and voice-over technique with Oksana Fedunyszn in Chicago.
I am in the process of creating my own home studio. In the mean time, I have access to a full studio to record and add music with a sound engineer.
I was a figure skating performer and instructor, teaching at Rockefeller Center in NYC and in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I taught voice (speech and singing) in Manhattan for 5 years, Chicago for 3 years and I began teaching in Seattle, WA when I moved here in 2003. Most recently in 2010, I opened my own theatre company, Rosebud Children's Theatre Conservatory www.rosebudctc.org
