Voice Description
I have a well modulated speaking voice that is pleasant to listen to. I do not speak in monotone but rather use inflections for emphasis and interest. I can sound professional for business, fun and lighthearted for commercial or fun items, deeper and sexier if need be. I speak and read very well, with a strong command of the English language. I do not stumble or stutter but enunciate smoothly and clearly.

My Voice Experience
My introduction to voice work was completely unplanned! When I was Telecommunications Supervisor at Bayhealth Medical Center, my manager came to me one day and said "Read this." So I did, and he nodded and said "Let me show you how to use the recording system." I then did voice work for the hospital, including the main voice attendant, the physician's dictation system, the billing department and the Human Resources department.
My Training
I learned by practical on the job training. I was given the opportunity to record the main greeting for the Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover Delaware and from there, went to record the voice attendants for various departments within the hospital, as well as our sister hospital, Milford Memorial in Milford, DE. Unfortunately, in the years since I left the hospital they have replaced the phone system and have had someone else do the recordings.
