My Voice Experience

I began a career in radio voice work at the tender age of 16, as the girlscout who liked to beat up her boyfriend for a local morning show. I graduated to doing commercial voice work and overnight on-air shifts at the station, KWHL 106.5, within months. From there I landed a couple of voice over jobs for local business's The Look (upscale womens clothing) and Northern Spas & Hot Tubs-They call that the 1-900-HOLLY voice.

As my radio career continued I moved from overnights on the rock station to middays at the easy listening station. When I finally turned 21-I got my first Country gig. You can avoid anything, but as the saying goes; If the cowboy boot fits...... Country fit and things really took off in the mid-west at B-104 Bloomington, IL. As Morning Co-Host, News Chick and Promotions Director I was always in one studio or another cutting commercials, liners, news, promos and my first on-hold programs.
If you've visited Alaska you know why, after a few years in the mid-west, I bolted back to the northern latitudes-A few more mountains and a lot less humidity.

I dove headlong into my old radio market feeling very much at home and comfortable. Then I learned to Fly! Now a girl has to have her standards and mine just went way up with the airplane. I took my years of radio experience and pilot cretificate and started Knight Productions LLC. dba SkyWatch Traffic News, delivering Traffic Reports weekdays, to seven Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley Radio Stations. The perfect marriage of experience and desire- I do what I know, deliver information, and I get to fly an airplane!

I continue to do On-Hold Programs, locally, for A&M RV Center and Keller Homes. I volunteer my voice, MC & Auctioneer duties for a few non-profit groups; the Alaska Airmens Asso., The Alaska Museum of Natural History, and INCPA. I provide liners and drops for all seven SkyWatch Network Stations-they range from rock to jazz and news-talk formats. I am currently working on my first audio book; Bird in the Bush by L. Jo King.
