My Voice Experience
Radio Announcer, began in 1989. Performed several promo spots, radio commercials thorughtout career until 1993. Several cable station voiceover commercials for Bayer asprin, De-con roach spray.
My Training
BS in Mass Communication from Illinois State University. Internship on campus radio station as an radio announcer and assitant program director and music director. Taken classes in radio and media production. Took seminar in radio and different opportunities in communications field in 1983. Was a judge in a semi-professional DJ contest. Held campus workshops for radio/tv opportunites.
My Studio Equipment
Experience with running an audio board used for radio; experience with reel to reel; 8-track.
Additional Skills
Having a career in radio gives you the opportunity to encounter all different types of people and the opportunity to speak. Whether is just talking on the radio, doing commercials, promos, speaking at schools, concert, or charitable events. One learns the value of communication and learning to speak, enunciate, articulate words and the voice. Currently I am in the banking industry and I do a great deal of speaking to customers(internal and external) on a daily basis. Within this profession one has to be able to communicate and be understood on several different levels.
