Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

My Voice Experience
Some commercials I have done for the Honolulu market are: McDonalds, JcPenny, Jeans Wherehouse, Nextel, the Air National Guard, Rumours, Club 939, Napa Auto, Office Depot, Windward Mall, Redwing Shoes, and the local Wedding Expo, to name a few. Some of them required a bit of "radio voice" or voiceover acting" but it depended on the read, and the clients needs or request. On occasion I provide laugh tracks for various little projects, a quick vixen or A.I. word here or there for a club spot effect, and have done off the cuff sound effects for commercial production reasons, including barking like a dog.
I voiced an animated project that never took flight.
I have done message on hold recordings for several different tour / travel companies in Hawaii, and voicemail greetings for other mainland companies usually delivered via MP3.
A unique voice service job for me was one which got put on Dollar/Thrifty rental car navigation units for several of the islands in Hawaii.
I have lent my voice to a few dot-com's and also short videos and mpgs online, one of them being for Seasons Gardens.
I have been used as an effect for personal intro's or supplied actual liners for dj's over the airwaves and the internet in the States and around the globe. My voice has been a part of a few dj's club shows and has also been used for dj drops / station imaging for broadcasts and podcasts.
I have done repeat tv voiceover reads for Burger King traffic / billboards in the Honolulu market.

Hands on. Throw me to the wolves, and I will come out with a warm... jacket. I had previous acting training when I was younger from camps, and workshops as well as private lessons with Bruce Ducat, and more recently with A. Gacis. I began to work with a mic in Italy where I was recorded singing. Move ahead a few years and I was in Hawaii working at a radio station in the promotions department as well as the production department. Radio is all about right place right time. I was asked if I could read, I said, I suck at spelling, but yes... I can read. I did my first spot, "the return of the Taro pie at McDonalds." I got a taste, chance, and sucked every opportunity in the production studio from that day on. I lost count of all the spots I produced and voiced while in Hawaii. To add a little bit more about me, I do volunteer work at the local middle school in the band department, and volunteered with the girl scouts and the boy scouts on previous occasions. You could summarize my "voice over education" as one of few classrooms and a couple workshops. As well as one of direction, trial and error, and working with people who have been doing radio, production, and voicing commercials for 5-25 years.
My Studio Equipment
*easy access to outside studio
*personal recording equipment includes an m-audio pre-amp and several types of mic's (Dynamic / Condenser etc) and a usb mic with built in pre-amp for emergency situations.
*I am good with Soundforge 9.0 & 7.0 adobe 2.0 & 1.5 and cool edit pro, with expierence with Acid 6.5 and SAW. (own Soundforge, Audition, Acid)
I can multi-task with the best of them. I am great on the internet.
I think of my imagination and playful side as a skill, because it requires discipline. I goof off with my kids and friends making voices and mimicking various characters, but I have yet to have the opportunity to record any of them.
