Voice Description
I have a voice that encourages the listener to listen to what is being said. The voice is third baritone and can modulate from monotone into a fanciful sensuality. My experience has been in poetry and short story public reading, improvisational acting, voicing books for the blind, doing news reportage for Caribbean television, doing ads for non profit maritime preservation organisations in the States and in the Caribbean, a narration of a audio book, the host of a weekly interview television show.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
My accent is called Middle America but is actually from San Francisco. There we have an above Market Street accent which is the above and a South of Market accent which has its origins in Boston, Massachusetts.
My Voice Experience
I caused an organisation to be formed in San Francisco by ads that were carefully worded and passionately spoken. We received educators, boatwrights and historians volunteering to become a part of the Bay Area Marine Institute because, as they all said, of the voice that told them to do so.
My voice has always been an asset even when I was in charge of a Sons of the American Legion installation team, don't ask me why they even existed I just did the job.
Public speaking has always had me as the spokesperson for different events, the mc, the ad man because of this voice.
My Training
I have been publicly speaking since I was seven years old but only started with voice overs as a narrator with the blind work and the audio play, Call Of The Conch.
The only type of study I was involved with concerning voice was with The Committee Workshop in San Francisco. The Committee had in those days Donald Southerland and Elliott Gould and my group were cast in the original M.A.S.H. I had just quit to occupy myself totally with maritime heritage preservation and sailing.
My Studio Equipment
I have no studio equipment and have only used equipment that was available in the Turks and Caicos Islands which I suggest is probably outdated.
Additional Skills
I am a writer, a journalist, a columnist, a research interviewer, a television news interviewer and commentator, a television interview show host. I have been a public speaker, usually with concerns that I have an active part in promoting.
I have a vast knowledge of Caribbean maritime heritage and history. I have created and managed three maritime organisations in the Caribbean and was the marketing director for another in San Francisco.
I work well with the very young and the very old, as well as those in between in a variety of areas and on a variety of subjects. I can read well and pronounce, in my American way, with excellent ennunciative quality.
I have had to be in front of the camera and on the radio for all of the work I have been doing for the past thirty years or so.
